Second convict in Bhopal fuel leak case lifeless | India Information

BHOPAL: Ok V Shetty, a convict within the Bhopal fuel catastrophe felony case, has died, a Bhopal courtroom was informed final Tuesday. Shetty was 80, studies Ashutosh Shukla.
Shetty was plant superintendent within the now defunct Union Carbide plant from the place methyl isocyanate had leaked on the evening of December 2-3, 1984, killing 1000’s of individuals and rendering tens of 1000’s fully or partially disabled.
He’s the second accused in thegas catastrophe case to have died. One other Union Carbide worker, R B Roychowdhury, a former assistant works supervisor, had died in 1988.
