In a remarkable achievement, Anuj Agnihotri has secured the All-India Rank 1 in the UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2025, a prestigious examination in India. This significant milestone was announced on March 6, 2026, and has garnered widespread attention.

Agnihotri’s success is underscored by the fact that a total of 958 candidates cleared the UPSC CSE 2025. His dedication to his studies is evident, as he reportedly studied for around 13 hours daily without any coaching, relying solely on his determination and self-discipline.

Born and raised in Rajasthan, Agnihotri completed his MBBS from AIIMS Jodhpur in 2023, having pursued the degree since 2017. His academic journey has been marked by perseverance, as he achieved this top rank in his third attempt at the UPSC examination.

Prior to this achievement, Agnihotri cleared the Union Territories Civil Services (UTCS) examination in his first attempt in 2023, showcasing his aptitude for civil service roles. His father works as a technician at the Rajasthan Atomic Power Station, while his mother is a homemaker, providing a supportive environment for his studies.

Reflecting on his journey, Agnihotri stated, “Initially, I was not clear about my aim in life. But I was sure that I want to serve the people and make an impact at the larger section of society with my work.” This sentiment highlights his commitment to public service.

He also mentioned, “If I hadn’t succeeded this time, I would have continued preparing for the next attempt. It’s a process and there are ups and downs. Now that I have succeeded, everything feels much easier.” This perspective emphasizes the resilience required in the pursuit of such competitive examinations.

Agnihotri’s mother has been a significant source of inspiration for him, as he noted, “My mother has always been my inspiration to serve the people and bring changes in our surroundings.” This personal motivation has driven him throughout his academic career.
