Hyundai Verna Facelift Launches in India
The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift has been launched in India, marking a significant update to the popular sedan. With a price range between Rs 10.98 lakh and Rs 18.25 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Verna aims to attract a broad customer base.
This updated model is available in six variants: HX2, HX4, HX6, HX6+, HX8, and HX10, providing consumers with various options to choose from. The facelift introduces two new color options, Classy Blue and Titan Grey Matte, enhancing the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal.
Under the hood, the new Verna is powered by a 1.5 litre NA petrol engine that produces 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque, alongside a more powerful 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine generating 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque. This range of engines is designed to cater to different driving preferences and needs.
Safety has been a key focus in the facelift, with the inclusion of a Level-2 ADAS suite and seven airbags, ensuring a higher standard of protection for occupants. The interior has also been upgraded, featuring dual 10.25-inch screens and a new D-cut steering wheel for a modern touch.
Additional features include a powered tailgate and a built-in dashcam, enhancing convenience and security for drivers. Deliveries for the new Verna are expected to start by the end of the month, making it a timely addition to the market.
The updated Verna will compete with established rivals such as the Honda City, VW Virtus, and Skoda Slavia, all of which are known for their performance and features. This competitive landscape will be crucial as Hyundai seeks to solidify its position in the sedan segment.
As the automotive market continues to evolve, the introduction of the Hyundai Verna facelift reflects the brand’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. Details remain unconfirmed regarding the long-term impact of this launch on sales and market share.
