Bomb Threat at Parul University
“So far, nothing suspicious has been found on the campus, but sanitising the entire campus will take a couple of hours,” stated a police officer responding to a bomb threat at Parul University in Vadodara, India, on March 10, 2026.
The incident unfolded after a bomb threat email was sent to the university, prompting immediate evacuation of the campus and cancellation of internal exams. With over 65,000 students enrolled across various courses and departments, the situation caused significant disruption.
Police teams from the Local Crime Branch, Special Operations Group, and Waghodia Police Station were deployed to address the threat. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad was also called in to conduct a thorough search of the campus.
During the search operation, no explosives were found, alleviating immediate concerns. However, the evacuation led to heavy traffic congestion in the Waghodia area, as students and staff were directed to leave the premises.
