The RBSE Class 8 results were announced on March 24, 2026, following a rigorous evaluation process that concluded after examinations held over two weeks, ending on March 4. This year’s results have drawn significant attention as they reflect a considerable achievement in the educational landscape of Rajasthan, India.
A total of 12,86,220 students appeared for the Class 8 examination, and the results indicate that 12,45,735 students successfully passed, resulting in an impressive pass percentage of 97.01%. This marks an improvement of 0.35% from the previous year, highlighting a positive trend in student performance.
The examinations were conducted at 10,056 centres across the state, ensuring accessibility for all students. The pass rates were notably differentiated by gender, with boys achieving a pass percentage of 96.52% and girls performing slightly better at 97.57%. Despite the overall success, 38,276 students were placed in the supplementary category, indicating they did not meet the minimum requirement of 33% marks in each subject. Students in this category will have the opportunity to re-examine, which is a crucial aspect of the RBSE’s commitment to ensuring that all students have a chance to succeed.
In comparison, the Class 5 results for 2026 also showcased a high pass percentage of 97.75%, with 13,68,947 students appearing for the examination. This consistency in performance across different grades suggests that the educational reforms and initiatives implemented in recent years may be yielding positive outcomes.
Officials from the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) expressed satisfaction with the results, noting that the improved pass percentage reflects the hard work of both students and educators.
