According to their attorney, Adnan Shaikh, “The divorce was granted by mutual consent after both parties acknowledged that the marriage had irretrievably broken down.” The couple has been living apart since July 2, 2024, after realizing significant differences in their temperaments, opinions, and lifestyles.
Hansika and Sohael married on December 4, 2022, at Mandota Fort in Jaipur, following a romantic proposal at the Eiffel Tower in Paris in November 2022. Their wedding was documented in the Disney+ Hotstar show titled ‘Hansika’s Love Shaadi Drama’, released in 2023.
Despite the initial excitement surrounding their marriage, the couple did not have any children and decided to part ways after just over three years together.
Financial Arrangements
In a notable move, Motwani waived any claims to alimony or streedhan, with her attorney stating, “It is pertinent to clarify that our client has made no claims whatsoever for alimony or maintenance, as her sole intention was to bring a dignified and peaceful closure to the marriage.”
