Upcoming Release of Funds
On March 13, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 22nd instalment of the PM-Kisan scheme from Guwahati, Assam. This release is expected to benefit approximately 9.32 crore farmers nationwide, with each beneficiary receiving Rs 6,000 directly into their bank accounts.
The total amount being disbursed in this instalment is around Rs 19,000 crore, aimed at assisting farmers in purchasing essential agricultural inputs.
Future Plans of the Prime Minister
Following the fund release, Modi is scheduled to travel to Silchar in the Barak Valley on March 14, where he will lay the foundation stone for the Rs 22,000-crore Guwahati–Silchar high-speed expressway. Additionally, he will also lay the foundation stone for the Silchar flyover.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to arrive in Guwahati on March 15, further highlighting the government’s focus on agricultural development and infrastructure in the region.
