Punjab Police Operations and Recruitment Update
The Punjab Police have recently intensified their operations, recovering an RDX-laden IED, four pistols, and substantial quantities of narcotics in multiple raids. In total, 14 individuals linked to foreign-based terror and drug modules have been arrested, highlighting the ongoing battle against organized crime in the region.
Among the significant recoveries, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force seized 1,215 MDMA tablets and approximately 5.5 kilograms of various narcotics. These operations underscore the Punjab Police’s commitment to tackling drug trafficking and enhancing public safety.

Of the total vacancies, 2,522 will be in the District Police Cadre, while 775 positions will be available in the Armed Police Cadre. This recruitment initiative is part of a broader strategy to increase police personnel across various districts of Punjab.
Selected candidates for the constable positions will receive a starting salary of Rs 19,900 per month. To be eligible, candidates must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination, with a minimum age of 18 and a maximum age of 28 for applicants.
