RTE Online Lottery Result 2026 Announced
The Rajasthan Education Department has announced the RTE online lottery result for 2026, impacting over 6.3 lakh applicants seeking free seats in private schools. This lottery system is a crucial part of the Right to Education Act, designed to ensure that underprivileged children have access to quality education.
Selected students must complete document verification and report to their allotted schools between March 13 and March 21, 2026. Parents can check the lottery result on the official RTE Rajasthan website rajpsp.nic.in. The application process for free admission started on February 20 and concluded on March 10, 2026, during which a total of 19.92 lakh applications were received for admissions in 33,137 private schools across the state.
To facilitate the admission process, parents are required to provide several documents for verification, including an income certificate, domicile certificate, caste certificate, birth certificate, and a BPL card if applicable. The income threshold for the income certificate is set at 250,000 INR. This requirement aims to ensure that the benefits of the RTE Act reach the intended demographic.
As part of the application process, parents were allowed to select a maximum of five schools. They can also change the order of their selected schools until March 16, 2026. This flexibility is designed to give families more control over their choices in the competitive landscape of school admissions.
Classes for all admitted students are scheduled to begin on April 1, 2026. Schools will continue to verify documents of applicants until March 25, 2026. If seats remain vacant after the first round of allotments, a second phase of school allotment will be conducted on April 7, 2026.
Parents can also register grievances regarding admissions on the RTE portal until April 2, 2026, ensuring that any issues can be addressed in a timely manner. This process underscores the commitment of the Rajasthan Education Department to transparency and fairness in the admission process.
The lottery system for selecting students for free seats in private schools has been a significant development in Rajasthan’s educational landscape, aiming to bridge the gap in access to education. As the process unfolds, observers will be keenly watching how effectively these measures are implemented and whether they fulfill the intended goals of the Right to Education Act. Details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact number of students who will be admitted in the second phase of allotment.
