Tvk candidate list 2026: TVK Candidate List for 2026 Assembly Elections Announced

The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has officially announced its candidate list for the 2026 Assembly elections, with plans to contest all 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu. Notably, C. Joseph Vijay will run from Perambur and Trichy East, marking a significant step in his political career.

Founded in 2024, TVK aims to present a clean, people-centric alternative to the ruling DMK. Vijay, who is 51 years old, emphasized that the candidates hail from ordinary families, aiming to bridge the gap between politics and the populace. “It will be C. Joseph Vijay from Perambur in Chennai and Tiruchirappalli East,” he stated, outlining his commitment to the constituents.

Among the candidates announced are N. Anand, Adhav Arjuna, R. Arunraaj, CTR Nirmal Kumar, and K. A. Sengottaiyan. Vijay has administered a pledge to these candidates to avoid corruption and ensure the safety of women, reinforcing his party’s stance against the political status quo.

Vijay’s entry into politics is noteworthy as it marks his debut in parliamentary politics. He has been vocal about the need for change, asserting, “They say our people have no experience. But those with experience have only used that experience to loot.” This sentiment resonates with many voters who are disillusioned with traditional political practices.

As the election date approaches on April 23, 2026, observers are keenly watching how TVK’s grassroots approach will fare against established political entities. Vijay has positioned the upcoming election as a two-front battle, stating, “This election is a two-front battle between TVK, which has formed an alliance with the people, and the DMK.”

With the full candidate list now public, the focus shifts to the campaign strategies and voter outreach efforts that will define TVK’s electoral journey. Details remain unconfirmed regarding additional alliances or strategies that may emerge as the election date nears.
