Neet exam timing: NEET UG 2026 Exam Details

The NEET UG 2026 exam will take place on May 3, 2026, across various locations including India, Dubai, Sharjah, and Riyadh. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the examination will follow stringent guidelines aimed at ensuring fairness and transparency.

The exam will occur in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM in India, while candidates in Dubai and Sharjah will take the test from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM UAE time. In Riyadh, the timing will be from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM Saudi Arabian time. Candidates are required to report to their respective exam centres by 1:30 PM, with strict adherence to these timelines being crucial for entry.

Approximately 23 lakh candidates have registered for the NEET UG 2026 exam, which consists of 180 questions, totaling 720 marks. The NTA has implemented several security measures including biometric verification at exam centres to confirm the identity of each candidate. Furthermore, candidates must present their NEET UG 2026 admit card along with a valid photo ID and passport-size photographs.

The NTA has emphasized a strict dress code for all candidates, prohibiting items such as electronic gadgets and accessories that could compromise the integrity of the examination process. Those arriving after 12 noon in Dubai and Sharjah or after 11 AM in Riyadh will not be granted entry into their respective examination venues.

This year’s NEET serves as the sole entrance examination for aspiring students seeking admission into MBBS and BDS courses in India. Historically, it has been a pivotal test for medical aspirants across the country.

NTA officials have dismissed rumors regarding potential paper leaks and reiterated their commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process. As preparations continue, stakeholders await further updates on logistical arrangements and any additional security measures that may be instituted.
