Faf du Plessis and Jonty Rhodes are taking a significant step into team ownership in the European T20 Premier League, aiming to develop local talent in Dutch cricket. The European T20 Premier League features six city-based teams, including the Rotterdam Dockers, which Du Plessis co-owns and captains. In addition to Du Plessis and Rhodes, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan also co-owns the tournament. Sources indicate that five of the six franchises for the ETPL have already been sold over a ten-year period, with a total franchise value estimated at £11.1 million. Only one team remains under negotiation at this stage.
