NEET Exam: Kolhan University Postpones Semester Exams

Kolhan University has postponed its semester exams originally set for May 2, 2026, to facilitate the smooth conduct of the NEET UG 2026 exam, which is scheduled to take place on May 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM across India.

This year, the National Testing Agency will manage the NEET UG exam, and documents show that a total of 611 examination centres have been established across 27 districts. Approximately 2.09 lakh candidates are expected to participate in this highly competitive entrance examination for undergraduate medical courses.

According to the Examination Controller of Kolhan University, “The decision was taken to ensure smooth conduct of both university examinations and the NEET exam, while minimizing inconvenience to students.” Candidates must arrive at their designated exam centres at least 1–2 hours prior to the reporting time to ensure compliance with all regulations.

The NEET UG Admit Card for 2026 has already been released by the National Testing Agency. Candidates should be aware that they are prohibited from carrying items such as mobile phones and electronic gadgets into the examination hall. Additionally, those who score above 650 may secure top ranks in this competitive assessment.

The exam consists of 180 questions, covering subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with a total score of 720 marks. The marking scheme awards +4 points for each correct answer while deducting -1 point for incorrect answers, with no penalty for unanswered questions.

To assist candidates traveling for the NEET exam, special trains will operate on May 3. Jaipur has emerged as a significant hub among the examination centres due to its capacity and logistical support.

As preparations continue, observers note that while many logistical details have been confirmed, there may still be adjustments needed as officials finalize arrangements for both university examinations and the NEET event itself.
